Job Title: Seasonal Sales Associate

Location: Botanical Dwellings and Fulton Found in Culpeper, Virginia

Hourly Rate: $14

Availability: September through December. Weekend availability in December is required. 

Job Type: Part-Time / 8-25 hours per week


About Us: Botanical Dwellings and Fulton Found are seeking motivated, customer-focused Sales Associates for the Holiday Season. You'll work at both our plant-focused store, Botanical Dwellings, and our masculine lifestyle boutique, Fulton Found. We value community, inclusivity, and making a positive impact.


Botanical Dwellings & Fulton Found are owned and operated by Tabatha and Eric Fulton. Crossover employment at each store is dependent upon availability and preference. Applicants interested in ~8 hrs/week will likely work at one store; those seeking 16+ hrs/week may work across both locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and responding to customer needs.

  • Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening essentials, and lifestyle products while offering knowledgeable recommendations.

  • Stay informed on product details, including plant care, seasonal inventory, and store offerings.

  • Process sales transactions accurately using cash and credit card payments and provide gift wrapping services.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment at both locations.

  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, pricing, and restocking seasonal products.

  • Support workshops and store events, engaging customers and ensuring smooth execution.

  • Take initiative to improve store operations and contribute to merchandising and displays.

  • Adapt to the fast-paced nature of holiday sales, balancing customer service with operational tasks.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in two unique retail environments.

  • Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).

  • Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills.

  • Adaptability and initiative—proactive in problem-solving and adjusting to store needs.

  • Interest or experience in plants, gardening, and lifestyle products is a plus.

  • Retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
